friends....there has been lot of talk on cci on sfm book that SD BALAs book skips many topic,, i have mail to auther regarding this and some another query....his reply is as follows...

The book on SFM has NOT skipped any topics except that it has not covered Technical Analysis. The idea was that with students having access to ICAI MATERIAL , they would read the tech analysis from there where it is reasonabaly well written.
In the writing of a text book at the CA level, it is important to provide students with a framework of items on the leading edge and not be geting down to placing each small piece of obscure theory.
It may be interesting to notice that ICAI revised material uses the pattern used in this book to discuss Portfolio Management.
I would be most happy to respond to which specific topic has been left out; it is hard to respond to a broad statement that says "it skips many topics"
