Hi,
I work in a software company. I forgot to submit my medical bills of Rs. 15000 in my company for tax exemption. Hence TDS was cut. Can I submit them during filing income tax returns and will my excess tax refunded?
Regards,
Vijay Inani

Hi Parihar,
In my company, they do not give reimbursement, but give it as a part of salary. I have received the amount of 15K, but also tax is cut on that as TDS.
So, can I submit the bills now during income tax filing and get the excess TDS refunded for ITD.
Hope my question is clear. Awaiting reply.

As you are getting for medical as a part of your salary then it will be considered as medical allowance and medical allowance is always taxable.

Yes, that is fine. I know it is taxable. Also, the tax is deducted for the same.
My simple question is: Can I submit the medical bills now during ITR filing and get the excess TDS back? roughly 10% of 15000 i.e. Rs. 1500/-
