M vat voluntary registration deposit

hello sir,

my question is assesse paid deposit Rs. 25000, in voluntary registration to m-vat dept. now from july 2017 GST act is applicable , what to do with deposit amount , whethre they given any clarification ,

There are 2 possibilities : 1) If you have carried forward the same in the return then there is no question of refund. 2) If you have not carried forward in the return then you can make an application to vat authorities after a period of thirty-six months from the end of the month containing the date of effect of the registration certificate but before the end of the period of forty-eight months from the end of the month containing the said date.
