During our audit for F.Y. 2020-2023, we have received observation of audit officer that we have to pay late fees foer delay filing of GSTR 1. Is there any relief in this which we can get. We can take shelter of any provision?

Late filling fees calculate on day basis RS.25/- each Central & State which is automatically appeared in your return immediate month. While filling GSTR3B, you can't avoid it.
How was it happend?
Do you file Annual return 9 or 9C?

Late fees for GSTR-1 is statutorily prescribed so cannot avoid.
