Firstly, the Service Tax return is not quarterly, but Half Yearly. So, the return for the half year 01-10-2012 to 31-03-2013 was originally due on 25-04-2013 which was eventually extended up to 10-09-2013. If you have not filed the same, you are liable for late fee under Rule 7C of service tax rules, 1994 which is (Rs. 100/day + 1000) for delay beyond 30 days, subject to maximum of Rs. 20,000 (section 70(1) of finance act, 94)
If tax is not paid within due date, then interest @ 18%/15% p.a. is leviable u/s 75, as the case may be.
