Accounts Officer

Essential:

Bachelors Degree in Commerce from a recognised university.

 

Desirable:

M.Com/Registered as a Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant.

In analogous post or 8 years experience in preparation and maintenance of Accounts in supervisory or managerial position in any department of the Central Government or a State Government or in any Autonomous Organisation or a Statutory Body in the pay band of Rs.9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4,200/- or Private Organisation of repute.

2. Note : Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

3. Age : 35 years.  (No age limit for KVIC employees).

4. Relaxation :

SC/ST                         : By 5 years.

OBC                             : By 3 years.

PH                                : By 10 years.(15 years for SC/ST and 13                                                                    years for OBC)

Ex-Serviceman            : By 3 years in addition to usual period of service in the

  defence forces subject to maximum age of 50 years.

Govt. Employees          : 5 years.

 

5. Selection Procedure :

(A)   Selection will be on the basis of performance in personal interview.

(B)  Mere possession of the essential qualifications does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.

(C)  Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible for the KVIC to interview all the candidates, the KVIC at their discretion may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit on the basis of the qualification  and experience in the relevant field.

 

            The candidate should therefore, mention all the qualification and experience in the relevant field and should attach attested/self certified copies of the certificate in support thereof.

                                    

6. How to apply :

            Application  should be submitted in the prescribed format available on KVIC Website and other details can be down loaded from KVIC Website at www.kvic.org.in Format should be neatly typed in Hindi or English.  Application and copies of the required certificates must be sent by ordinary post only in a cover super scribed "Application for the post of ______________________ reserved for SC/OBC/UR". The candidates applying against reserved category as well as unreserved category should submit separate applications.  The application should be addressed to DIRECTOR (ADMINISTRATION), KHADI AND VILLAGE INDUSTRIES COMMISSION, 3, IRLA ROAD, VILE PARLE (WEST),  MUMBAI-400 056.

 

Candidates serving in Government organisation should submit their application through proper channel.

9. General :       

 

A.         The candidates belonging to SC/OBC categories should attach certified copy of the SC/OBC caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India, failing which, his/her application is liable to be rejected.  Mere "Declaration on Oath" is not accepted.  The Competent Authority for issuing caste certificate to the candidates belonging to OBCs is the same as in the case of SC/STs.  OBC candidates must ensure that the community to which they belong is recognized as other backward class under the Central Government List i.e. under Government of India, Ministry of Welfare Resolution No.12011/68/93-BCC(C) dated 10.09.1993 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part I-SEC dated 13.09.1993 (and not as per the State Government List or Income Criteria etc.) The Caste mentioned in the Certificate should tally letter by letter to that of the Caste as appearing in the Central Government List/Notification.  The certificate inter alia must specify that the candidates does not belong to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for other backward classes in Civil post and services under Govt. .of India.  OBC certificate should not be more than one year old as on the date of application.  APPLICATIONS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY THE ABOVE CERTIFICATE ARE LIABLE TO BE REJECTED.

 

B.         Candidates with disabilities can apply to the post even if the post is not reserved for them.  However, such candidates will be considered for selection to such posts by general standard of merit.  Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for the benefit of reservation and other relaxations as permissible under the rules.

 

C.         The candidates should not send ORIGINALS/COPIES of any certificates/testimonials.

 

D.         Candidates are required to paste one recent passport size photograph in the space provided for in the application format and sign it across.  They are advised to retain one copy of the same photograph for use at the time of interview.  Failure to produce the same photograph at that time will lead to disqualification of the candidates.

 

E.         KVIC shall not be responsible for an application being rejected which is based on wrong information provided and/or in any advertisement issued by an unauthorized person/institution.

 

F.         Unemployed SC candidates who are called for interview will be reimbursed II Class Rail/Bus fare, as per rules.

 

H.         Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the service regulations under KVIC.

 

I.          Before applying for the post, candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility norms in all respects as mentioned in this advertisement, as on the dates specified.  The KVIC shall be free to reject any candidature at any stage of the recruitment process,  if he/she is found to be ineligible for the post for which he/she has applied.

 

J.         The decision of the KVIC in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidates,  interview, selection and appointment of candidates etc. would be final and binding on the candidates.  No correspondence would be entertained by the KVIC in this behalf.

 

K.         In case any candidate desires to institute any legal proceedings against the KVIC in respect of anything done or proposed to be done by the KVIC in relation to him or her, such legal proceedings shall be instituted only in the courts in Mumbai and not in other Courts.

 

L.         Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

 

M.        The selected candidates will be posted at any where in India.

 

N.         Candidate's invitation for the personal interview is strictly provisional.  The mere fact that the call letter has been issued to the candidate does not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared by the KVIC.

 

O.         Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit their application well in time before the last date to avoid possible delay in postal transit.  Applications received after the last date shall be rejected.  (The KVIC takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or lost in Postal transit of any application or communication.)

P.         The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India (and not the closing date prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir, State , Lahul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the Union territory, of the Andaman and Nicobar Island of the Union territory of Lakshadweep).

 

Q.         LAST DATE : 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the Employment News.  The last date of receipt of application is 03.07.2011.  

 

For the candidates residing in North East regions Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir, State , Lahul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the Union territory, of the Andaman and Nicobar Island of the Union territory of Lakshadweep), the closing date for the receipt of application is 45 days, instead of 30 days.
