There is no need to remember the subject. All you need to do is understand the concept. Derive the meaning. Know and evaluate the advantage and disadvantages. It is misconception that it is theory subject, Actually It is practical subject. You have to co relate the concept with real life situations.

When we are reading about the Expert System, We must know the Meaning of "Expert" and "System"
Expert is a person who has Specialization and in-depth knowledge in particular field [Doctor, Lawyer]. & System means a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network [ Car, Coffee machine].
Therefore, before reading about the expert system you must know the basic understanding of this two terminology.
