Hi all,

Ple give sugetions on this one senior citizen having total income for AY 2009-10 is 595000/-

and he has no savings which are deductable U/S 80C TDS is 61285/-

He want to file return in this week

what is the computaion for this

Being senior citizen, he will get basic limit of 225000, so, compute tax for the next 75000 @ 10%. then next 2,00,000 @ 20%, and the next 95000 @ 30%, add education cess, and i think he was liable to pay aadvance tax for delay for the same will attract sec 234 Interests...i am in a hurry, so couldnot calculate the taxable amouut.... sorry for that.. chao

Hi Meghdoot, thanks for ur kind reply,

I can do that part of work Income tax is 76000 and EC & HEC is 2280 Total tax is 78280/- which is normal Tax Calculations Less TDS 61285 Balence payable is 16995/-

My question is what is the Interest Calculations for dat U/s 234 A , B & C In Detailed
