I received mail from CPC as follows
Dear Taxpayer, payment details of Self Assessment Tax was not entered in Schedule IT or TAX PAYMENT while filing the return. Request you to fill the same
How to do this now?Please help.

Download the ITR Form.
Fill in the requisite details including the details of SA Challan paid.
And file it as revised the return U/S 139(5).

For this go through the following process -
1. Login to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/.
2. Go to My Account >> Service Request >> New Request >> Intimatioon u/s 143(1)/154 >> Request for Intimation u/s154.
Fill the required details and after some days you will get intimation on your registered mail.
3. After receiving click on RECTIFICATION Tab in e - File menu.
Fill the required details and you will be able to enter the challan details.

Revised Return of Income Tax can be filled by an assessee any time before the expiry of 1 year from the end of the Relevant Assessment Year or before the completion of assessment whichever is earlier.

Revised return can be filed even after intimation u/s 143(1) is issued since the same is not considered as an assessment order in the court of law. Pls be informed that After the issuance of intimation u/s 143(1), regular/ scrutiny assessment can be done without any restrictions.
