It exemption u/s 17(2) on medical allowance

Dear All,

I am receiving fixed monthly medical allowance which is taxable and I can make it non-taxable upto Rs.15000/- u/s 17(2), if i submit medical bills for the same.

My query is -- Can I submit medical bills of last FY 2013-14 in current FY 2014-15 for taking exemption u/s 17(2) against monthly medical allowance received in current FY 2014-15.
