It hs been said that ISCA as a subject in the CA Final exam has ben scrapped. How true is it?

Besides, it has been said that IFRS has also been added to the final course.

Yes i think so its getting dropped from ca final syllabus. CA rajesh sharma quoted the same on his website...

Its not a rumour....this was said by ICAI president during national convention at Mumbai as far as i have knowldege.....Date of ca final result was also declared to be 19th jan

Hello friends Unless otherwise you got the notification on ICAI portal, you must prepare the ISCA subject. It's not too difficult but the only issue is that it is not our cup of tea i.e. this subject is not related with other subjects like Accounts and tax etc.

It is to be clarified all students already registred for final course have to prepare ISCA.They shall not think that may be isca will not be applicable for them.Whatever course changes would be applicable it would be for students registered after a specified date

BIGGEST FOOLS ARE THOSE WHO UNDERMINE THE IMPORTANCE OF ISCA.EVERYTHING IS ON CLOUDS THESE DAYS.FUTURE IS CASHLESS ECONOMY,ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.CURRENCIES LIKE BITCOINS ARE HOT ISSUES.INFORMATION SYSTEM IS THE ESSENCE OF THIS NEW WORLD ORDER. BIGGEST BLUNDER EVER WILL BE THE DELETION OF ISCA.ALL THESE SHENANIGANS JUST BECAUSE ISCA IS TOO BORING & HARD TO SCORE.

FYI,ISCA is a core subject in all the CA, CPA, CMA courses abroad.

The developed countries are way ahead in the field of ISCA.

This is a hot field. If CA's will leave/ignore this field, CMA and other finance courses will take advantage of this.

Its a theory subject but its you who can make it practical. If you have knowledge about practical issues you will be valuable for any employer.

We have to look beyond books. Use of Internet is invaluable. How many of CA students know about Crypto-Currencies like Bitcoin, MaxCoin, StarCoin,KIMDOTCOM, The case of Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, The revelations of Wikileaks, The latest cyber war between USA and North Korea over the movie " The Interview", The closure of Piratebay, The NSA revelations. To understand the intricasies of these events/stories, knowledge of Boring ISCA is of utmost importance. If you can flaunt knowledge about these events, your competitive advantage will go up. This is how IIM grads prepare. And we CA students are still thinking what is the use of ISCA.

Thanks for the suggestion hamad bt i didnt find ane use of reading IT in Ipcc exams. I know ISCA is a difficult subject to score bt think there is no exposure for all of us in this field.
