Input tax credit for coal mining company under assam vat

   A coal mining company is the first producer of coal from earth.No raw materials are used for this purpose.Therefore there is no chance of any input tax credit. VAT paid on consumables is not eligible for ITC. If there are any capital goods or their spares purchases then it is to be decided on the type of capital goods involved and the govt notification on this matter .....MJK
