Income tax scrutscrutiny

Sir I have taken a.loan of 5lakh rupees from a private company for purchasing a piece of land for building my resiidencial house .But unfortunately owner of land had sold that to another person. I have invested the amount in post office RD for 1 year till I find a suitable land.Have I done any financial irregularities.Can Income tax department send a scrutiny notice for this. Kindly advise and thus obliged. Thanking You you're Debojyoti
