Import export code modification

Hi friends

One of my clients is having import export code which was applied offline. After getting iec, company changed its name and got the fresh certificate from the ROC, but since then, in import export code certificate, old name of the company is being shown, now we have to modify the name of the company in import export code certificate. When i tried to login on dgft, it shows that migrating from existing iec to e iec.

So my question is what does the migration from iec to e iec means? and how to proceed further to ammend the iec?
