No, But for DT --> V G Modules + Institute's Practice Manual IDT --> Refer only Bangar Mat

Ca final accts mein bhi koi change hai kya for may15... ifrs applicbl nhi hai na may 15 mein

Dear.,... I think study mat provided by ICAI to the students is much concise. You must read your stuff from those books and reference books should only be read for those topics which you could not understand from study mat. You will see all reference books are copied from institute's books. Even I referred institute's books in full course and did not face any problem. I have read other books for second reference purpose only. You can also read institute's practice manual or reliance compiler.

Not at all..it will take ages...for DT and idt refer teachers notes-VG/DG?bangar whoever......

Dear Kabir,

We recommend the following books:

Direct Tax - Vinod Gupta
Indirect Tax - Bangar

Other than that, ICAI likes to test your ability and proficiency on the concepts in this subject.

Be thorough with your concepts in this subject. Focus on amendments and concentrate on important chapters such as Assessment Procedure, Profits and Gains from Business and Professions, Capital Gains, Minimum Alternate Tax, Taxation of a Non Resident. One thorough reading and Two Revisions are a must.

If you have done an articleship and taken it seriously and pursued it seriously, you will reap some benefit from it for sure.

Also, Read Supplementary Study Paper, Research Test Paper, Recent Case Laws, and if time permits go through Practice manual as it has been noticed that is the past few Question Papers some questions were from the Practice Manual.
