ICAI exemptions for acca

Hey

I am an ACCA affiliate in uk. and i would like to gain membership to icai. does anyone know what exemptions will i get in the icai examinations.

do i only require to give a tax and law bridging paper. or any more.

should i go for a course of acca even if i wanna continue wid my future in india only.?

sidharth..

ur decision to take up acca depends totally upon ur future plans. if u plan to move out of the country then u shud definetly go for it. if u wnt 2 stay in india....then ur acca qualification will be recognised by only MNC's. but acca will giv u an edge over the traditional indian ca in respect to the international standards of reporting and transfer pricing...i think u shud go for it because ICAI will have to adopt the international standards in the near future nd if ur an acca den it will give u an edge over the competiton in the market....

There is no mutual recognition b/w ACCA and ICAI as of now. enroll from beginning.

Even there is no mutual recognition with ICWAI and ICSI (National bodies), as in UK ICAEW and CIMA, ACCA.

ICAI will not give any exemption to ACCA members ( as on today), but in ACCA will give 7 to 8 papers exemption to ICAI members.

ICAI having only MOU with ICAEW, CA Australia, CPA Australia, CPA Irland.

I'm an article assistant in India as a part of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India...If the ACCA qualified are given preferential post in MNCs in India,then it can cause a lot of problems to the students who wants to join the corporate world after becoming the CA from ICAI...Is it a threat for students of ICAI who dream to work in real multinational corporate sector ?

If you are a Chartered Accountant, then you will be exempted for 9 papers F1 to F9 (you will have to pay the exemption fees for the 9 papers). And appear for the 5 papers in the professional level examinations (now 4 papers from June 2018 onwards). For articleship you can submit your training certificate and the same will be counted. Post all the formalities you will be granted the ACCA degree. But remember like the CA course you will have to pay the annual membership fees with ACCA (acca has high fees then ca)

i passed first group of ca final in november 2010. at that time Financial Reporting name was Advanced Accounting and SFM name was Management account anf financial analysis. NOW ACCA not accounting these two old name. How can i get this ?
