i am totally messed up....is there any age limitatioPLZ HELP

HI EVERY ONE...I AM APPEARING FOR CPT DEC 2010.....ACTUALLY I AM 27 YEARS OLD....i just wanna know does age is a limiting factor....will i not be able to get any good job when i complete CA...datz what many ppl hve told me.From the past 5 years i was suffering from some severe health problems thats y i wasnt able to continue wid studies...but now i am absolutely fine...i really want to be independent and do something in life...books means the whole world for me.....but people's opinion really scares me....i have heard that maximum age limit dat company wants is27...is it true ??i want to work with a good company....will i be rejected on the age ground...plz tell

NO you will not be rejected on the age ground. If you discontinued your studies then you must have industrial exposure.

Take my case, I discontinued my studies because of several failure and start doing job in industry, but CCI become my source of inspiration and I start my studies again. Now I am married and having two daughters still I think that I can crack the examination.

The main drawback of age factor is that it becomes too hard to succed in one go, another is that yes the start you get after clearing the course may not be good but you can overcome it by your experience and work.

CHEERS! there is no upper age limit, trouble/hurdels may come take them positively and become an example for others.

if you have faith in your abilities then go for it.and it is a very viable option.Many people clear their ca exams at a very later stage of their lives and are still doing well.

in my opinion "Age is an excuse" No matter what is your age.. you can go for CA. I can understand your health problems but still you can give it a try but with full dedication

Even my father is at 53 yr but still he is planning to go for CA.

same thing i am facing, i have just appeared for CA IPCC group 1...my age is 24...me confused also...

if u have'nt done master degree u can enroll for it ....another very good option is ICWA ....

dont feel like that..

value is measured from a person's mind not from his age.

just be dedicated and dont give any excuses to yourself, at anypoint of time you feel u lack something...

ICAI's Presidents are all more than 45 years old...

Dear member,

First of all I would like to appreciate your thinking of pursuing the course and to be independent coz I know it needs a lot of courage.

I have done CA and now goin to appear for CS final and ICWA final..... I will not give u any "GYAAN" here like , age doesnt matter ur approach and ur view towards life and blah blah...

U need to think practically bcoz ultimately ur goal is to stand in life to earn money and respect in society. u have to evaluate that how much time is left with u and how dedicated ur...from ur approach it seems that u r totally geared up and dedicated...thts good.

Age matters in campus interview..and that I agree..bcoz i have been placed thru campus ... but that s not the end of job.....u can place ur self privately ..or thru consultant...once u clear the exam u will be around 30-31 or may be 32-33....believe me I have seen many of the person of that age bracket who had been placed in gud co.s and r now doing very well......so forget bout age and dont waste any time...if u have thought just go for it....but mind one thing IT WILL REQUIRE HARD WORK AND A LOT OF PATEINCE......WISH U ALL THE BEST..

hi,

dont wory with age barriers. CA is a professinal qualification nd y u bother abt going for job,, u can pratice as a CA very well,,so that u can be independant in ur life...dnt think abt job nly...

dont study for passing the exam, but for an academic purpose..

ur age is not a prob for studies, pass out and for practice also...

also like what Gandhiji says close ur doors of heart when any suggeation come from outside that make u pessimistic....

stay in study with the aim of CA,,,nd not the suggestion from peoples. ok..
