Huf continuance by single member

One person having no child forms huf with his wife. Wife dies. Can the HUF be continued by surviving single Karta ? if not, how the assets and liabilities of the HUF be treated ? Can a relative be added as member or coparcener by any way ? Would appreciate reply with relevant reference.
