How to start a ca firm: i need help

hello every one... My elder sister is a CA and hold COP. and I am in CA final.. she wants to run her own firm.. she has opened one firm now how will she get client.. what is the procedure to get govt audits, bank audits and other types of work of a CA .. I am working as her assistant. plz let me know some valuable procedure. we don't know how to get work of a CA. plz provide us complete details ..

Subho ! where are u from in kolkata? i am in kolkata at kidderpore. i am a ipcc student & i continue ca so i want to do work as a helper for your elder sister.i know tally and my three years of articleship is completed.

My question was different.. I was asking how to get audits and other .ca related work..not looking for assistance

Hmmm you will get work from your contacts, you can visit others CA firms to promote your firm, they will definitely allot some works to you.

This is the failuer of ICAI. a person who qualifies CA after so much of hardwork still he is not able to do work. He/ she has to do struggle again to get clients and money. The knowledge gained from studies is hardely helpful in getting the work. The education system is itself faulty. Education should be based on practical aspects and not on the tricky questions and case laws, that doesnt help a person in real life.

For getting govt audit:

Hey brother, for getting govt audit a CA needs to have experience of atleast 3 years, so you have to wait. You can get project report work, accounting work easily from the clients. Money will be less for initial 5 years. You have to keep patience, entire market may have been captured by existing CAs, you have to search for new clients.

RULES to Keep a client and to increase clients:

1) complete the client's work before his expected time,

2) Do not take any fee from client, say "fees to baad me bhi mil sakti hai, next time de dena"

3) offer tea coffee for clients, give best service.

these are the basic rules to keep a client and to make a mouth publicity about your firm (since we have restriction under ca professional ethics we cant make publicity. so this is the only method to do publicity)

As i am an aspirant of starting own firm and i am doing freelancing i pretty much have seen close quarters. The first thing that ll help u is ur contacts, friend cirlcle and your principal or other senior cas most of the works come through this route. For govt audit you need experience and to be on audit panel of fmc, mcx and all you need experience, for bank audits you need min no of partners and it is based on seniority. For the first 5 years you can get major of work from frns n acquaintances. Go network with ppl meet n give your card they ll someday come back. So its lot of struggle. What i have seen s that generally what Ca fresher do when they want to go in practice is..... They take cop and get themselves engaged with already established Ca firms as an employee and they work for two three years in which they also able to enhance their confidence, public network and also running their financial metre .... .. And also enters into partnership with some Ca firm thereby they are also have the experience on records which will be helpful in getting govt audit which requires experience as said by others above.

I've some client of B.Money if you can do this work perfectly then I would suggest but all clients belong to Rajasthan.
