Poverty cannot be removed by following certain pointers. Poverty reduction (I'm not using the word "removal" here for a reason) is a long process and will require efforts at various levels of government and Administration.
The bigger threat we are facing now is world war (middle-east) and climate change.
Hjmmm..Agree wid your points to some extent.....but practically some are always poor in mind, some are always rich. We may not be able to change the world but by listening to what individuals say they need we can decide how or if we can help,,, It is true that overpopulation is a factor in india, as is the availability and use of contraception, the education of women and birth rates.... helping them get education, and giving them access to the means of production is a good way to reduce poverty permanently.
