17 July 2010One of our assesse had income from prfessional fees in financial year 2007-2008. and offered for income in A.Y. 2008-2009 return.but at the time of filing not received TDS certificate from deductor.so he didn't claimed TDS in this return.now in current year 2010-2011 received TDS certificate pertaining to financial year 2007-2008. so how to get refunds of this TDS.or we should go for condonation of delay.please answer in detail.and if any procedure for condonation application describe me.

Hai,
First of all you apply for condonation of delay u/s 119(2)(b) of the it act to concerned Commisiioner who is having jurisdiction stating the situation is beyond your control, and the certificates were issued belatedly and then obtaining permission form the Commissioner you can proceed to file the revised return and get the refund
