Hello everyone. For House property interest deduction i wanted to know if Thane is treated as a different city from Mumbai within Maharastra. My client has a house in Thane and works in Thane but stays in Mumbai suburbs, so can he treat that house as let out property and claim HRA also.
In the above case, Thane shall not be treated as a separate city for HRA purpose.

I bought one flat in apartment.
My Loan EMI has started already since June. Bank has been given all the money to builder.
But as per my living criteria it will take couple of months to finish interior and some small modification.
I may be able to move in next year as per auspicious time and all.
Currently I am claiming HRA and would like to claim the Home loan Interest in thsi year. How to do this. please suggest.
