House as registered office, doing business working elsewhere

  1. Can a working man will do a small trading business as registered dealer under TNVAT? Can the registering authority reject the application because of the reason the proprietor is a working employee?
  2. Can the house of a proprietor will be the redgistered office of a proprietoeship firm? Can the registering authority reject the application because of the reason the registered office is a house.

1. I don't think there would any such constraint.  You can definitely put up a proprietory concern while working.  However there might be some organizations where they prohibit employees from suhc things. So u need to take care that the work of your company is not being hampered while continuing your proprietory business.

2. You can definitely carry on your business in a residential premises.  However the light meter would be of commercial one.  And alos you need to take into considerations that there's no nuisance being caused to the members of the residential premises on account of your business being carried out in the premises.
