Hello friends,

I have a few queries to those CA final students appearing in Nov 2012.

1)Now that the Revised Scheduled VI is applicable and not many publications have published books on the same..How should it be studied?and from where?Secondly will our syllabus suffer more change in it..i.e accordingly in Audit ad Law.

2)Will Chapters like Consolidation of Financial statements and Corporate restructuring suffer a serious hit.

3)What About IND AS?is it applicable?if yes?which reference book would be the most appropriate?

4)Other than Financial reporting, are there any subjects that can be prone to more syllabus change..

Thanks and would appreciate if anybody helps me here please..

Dear Puja,

First of all best of luck for ur exam.

  1. Dont worry about revised Schedule VI. as far as CA Final Syllbus is concern, we have to study only about the format and categorization about revised Schedule VI.  Nothing will be suffer due to revised schedule VI. I have Attached revised schdule VI and FAQ. which is very usefule for Exam.
  2. In exam if we would have to prepare CFS then we have to follow revised schdule VI for Preparing Consolidation Balance Sheet. Rest Every thing will be same.
  3. Ind AS - Ind AS is the conversion of Indian AS with IFRS. This is notified by the MCA without any applicability date. So dont worry about the Ind AS. Ind-AS will be applicable after 2013.
  4. rest every thing will be same. if there is any major changes will be happen the ICAI will announce the same, so dont worry about the syllabious changes.

Thanks & Regards

Shankar

Candidates for financial aid who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States
must file the 2012-13 College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile to be eligible for Bowdoin grant
support. Candidates for financial aid who are citizens of other countries should follow the
instructions in sections 5 and 6 of these instructions.
U.S. citizens are required to complete the on-line version of the CSS Profile to expedite
electronic processing and data transfer. CSS charges a fee for processing the Profile. Lower
income families may be eligible for an automatic fee waiver, based on answers to initial CSS
Profile questions. Families with questions about which forms to file should click on “Which forms
do I file?” located in the right margin of Student Aid home page.

hi pooja...........

IND AS is not applicable in nov 2012.

revised schedule VI is applicable in nov 2012.

ISCA is a paper in which ICAI may bring some major changes from 2013 onwards,....

hence, preparing for nov 2012 exam one has to learn revised scheduleVI only.

just focus on your preparation ,don't worry about changes.......
