Help for it rectification for ay 2012-2013

Dear all,

While filing ITR, I have wrongly selected the AY as 2012-2013 instead of 2013-2014. Due to which an intimation u/s 143 has been raised on 24-07-2014 and subsequently intimation under 245 sec has been raised on 31-07-2014.

As the Rectification rights have been transferred to local Jurisdictional Assessing officer. I have met AO he said he doesnot posses the right to change the AY. Kindly let me know how to proceed further..

I think you have not filed ITR for 2012-13 earlier and 2013-14 recently.File revised nil return for 2012-13 or as per the detsils if any and file the original return for 2013-14. Or contact your AO.

Dear Sir,

After communicating with CPC banglore immediately I have filed revised ITR for AY 2012-2013 and then filed original ITR for AY 2013-2014. But CPC Banglore conveyed that as I have filed original & return for the AY 2012-2013 during the AY 2013-2014, the revised ITR form cannot be considered.

If they would have considered revised ITR for AY 2012-2013 that problem would have been rectified.

Check whether you have sent the return to cpc-bangalore within 120 days from the date of filing

Already I have sent the ITR within 120days.. But CPC Banglore replied that as I have filed ITR for AY 2012-2013 during AY 2013-2014, they have considered only original ITR for AY 2012-2013. The revised ITR for AY 2012-2013 has been rejected.

Local AO suggested to meet Commissioner of IT, Hyderabad and file a rectification request U/S 264
