Help!! for CA Final Nov17

Hello everyone.
Nov17 is going to be my first CA FINAL ATTEMPT and I'm going for only group1.
Law I'm doing self study for about 2 3 hrs on regular basis.
FR I'm revising the syllabus and going to coaching for only IND AS part.
But I'm really very worried about SFM. My sfm classes were kind of waste. Now I've the option for either watching videos of sanjay saraf sir or using shridhar book or institutes material for self study. As of now not even full 3 months are left for the papers. please suggest and help. I'm really very tensed about it I don't know what should I do. sfm is really scary.

Hello As far I'm concerned Pattabiram book for sfm is good. It has both conceptual problems as well as revision problems for every topic. This really helps for self study. I am a good example for that as I secured 65 in sfm following that particular book. Meanwhile also refer pm,sm rtps for past 4 or 5 attempts. Complete revising all the syllabus atleast 2 or 3 times before exams Start preparation by this way 1. Mutual funds 2. Portfolio mgmt 3. Dividend 4. Leasing 5. M&A 6. Financial services 7. Derivatives 8. Cap budg 9. Theory if u have good time Follow in this step wise manner. It really helps Finally All the best

I will suggest you to take Mayank Kothari sir video lectures for SFM as
SFM is difficult to understand by self-study. These lectures are of 140 hours only.

no, Sfm is really very easy subject if your teacher is helpful. Please study Sfm otherwise it will be wastage of full attempt.

Hey, Do not waste time in video classes or coaching classes now!

Very little time is left. Sridhar's book is very good for clearing concepts...read the theory part and clarify the concepts before solving the problems. It's very much self explanatory. Initially it will appear as if it consumes time but you will be able to complete it. After that refer PM and solve any leftout problems that were not there in Sridhar's book(very few would be there).

I repeat do not waste time in video classes or coaching classes.

That's really different for every person... Just check the conceptual part and the no. of problems in each chapter..you will have an idea.

Hey, I thought you had the book already. It's just one book.. around 800 pages. Not very bulky. Just go for it.

Go for video lectures of SFM of a good teacher... doing self is bit difficult and u will loose hope if u dint understand and till will pass on and after that u will not be able to take the lectures... so u have the time to watch lectures...i personally secured 79 in sfm and i think that wont be possible withour classes... dnt wry everything will be fine. good luck.
