HAPPY VISHU

Vishu is  one of the important festivals celebrated especially in North Kerala. In Indian astrolgy,  Vishu is considered as  the God of time. As Vishu is  the first day of Zodiac year, it is believed that, Vishu is the appropriate time of offering  oblation to Hindu gods. Malayalees  residing all over the world   are celebrating  Vishu  with pomp and enthusiasm.
Lord Vishnu the preserver of  the creation of universe, is the aspect, that is focused  upon during Vishu. Konnapoov a golden yellow  flower, which is associated with Sri Krishna  is used liberally throughout  the pooja time  during Vishu.
This flower blooms  only when the sun  is in its most  exalted position, which coincidest with the Vishu festival
