Gst returns

My client has not filed any return from Aug 2017. Now he want to file all returns..We have opted for quarterly returns..Can we file only Gstr 3b from the start and not monthly Gstr 1..

If opt quarterly GSTR 1 return then You can file GSTR 1 as monthly...

But GSTR 3B is monthly return..

Note :
If You are file on or before 31st March 19 then You can avail the benefit of Late waiver. If not then late fee is applicable.

you have to file both GSTR3B & GSTR1 , if you file before 31/3/2019 no late fees for July 2017 to Spt 2018 returns please refer Notification 75 &76 (C.T.) dated 31/12/2018

please confirm with others also.

it is advisable to file your gstr 3b first because from tomorrow late fees will be levied for your returns till sept 2018 as well.....
although late fee is also there in gstr 1 but in past they were not charging it, don't know about the future.....
still it is advisable to file all gstr 3b....
