Gst rates for 7419

As per law HSN should mentioned 4 digit.But for HSN 7419, there is 2 rates of GST 18 and 28, 18 is for metal casting and 28 is for metal castings further worked.Then such cases what to do? Now a days some supplier is charging 18 evevnthough it is further worked

as per the GST act it is the supplier of goods who is responsible for correct classification and payment of tax.. thus if the supplier charges 18% in the place of 28% you are not to be blamed under any circumstances. hence you need not worry. But if you are tading on wuch goods when it becomes your outward supply you should be careful to mention the correct HSN code and apply the correct rate of tax.
