Delhi gang-rape case has left the nation in a state of shock and with the new year celebrations around the corner, security of women has become a big issue around the country. 

This new year's eve take some small steps when you go out to party to ensure your safety:

1. Keep a pepper spray in your hand bag at all times.

2. Keep your near and dear ones informed about your plan and where-abouts.

3. Travel in groups and avoid taking public conveyance.

4. Call your friends and family before leaving form a place and after reaching another.

5. Keep the PCR number (100) on speed dial of your phone.

6. If you have a GPS enabled smart-phone. Use the Google latitude service to keep a track of your loved ones and inform them about your location and movements.
