frustrated cpt failed 2nd attempt

hey frnds,i have given cpt twice n failed both times..with just 60..m weak in maths..n dint concentrated on other subjects properly..but i m confused.should give cpt again or not..some suggestions plzz..

Just go through the all 3 subject properly i.e Law/ A/c/ and eco

Try to solve maths which you are confident don't just give fluck answer in exam.

You will definately score a good marks in exam..

HI PARUL ACC TO ME U SHOULD NEVER QUIT.

JUST SEE WHERE R U MISTAKES,WHETHER U HAV DONE THE MODEL TEST PAPERS ENTIRELY.

ACC.2 ME U SHOULD DO IT ATLEAST TWICE-BOTH OF THE BOOKS.

I ASSURE U YOU WILL GET THROUGH IN JUNE.

ca is not valued his attempt my friend so forget your 2 attempt and concentrate on june attempt and do not warry if your mathys are weak because many students who have not studied maths in 12th still pass the CPT so do nat mind it and concentrate on a/c,law , economoces.and statistics then you definatly pass the exam.

Parul , let me tell u one story , there is a very good frnd of mine . we gave dec 2010 attemp of cpt together . I secured 125 marks . that was my second attempt ( in my first attempt i got 87 only ) then we checked his result . He got only 60 marks . that was his 1st attempt . in his second attempt he got 69 ( june 2011 attempt ) . he FAILED again . now even i thought why is he running behind CA there are so many courses afterall . he gave his 3rd attempt in dec 2011 . after the results declared i asked him abt his result . he gave his roll no. and u knw wat he PASSED . he got 100 marks.

so why to loose heart . go 4 it again dear .

nd yes 1 imp suggestion . solve all questions from ICAI book . no other books to prefer .when I was preparing 4 my second attempt i uesd to study acc n maths stats for 4 hrs each and eco and law 2 hrs each .

Parul dont take it in any other sense but if u have just scored 60 u r lacking in ur efforts. I was a PCM student but still i cleared CPT in first attempt.

First of all dont loose hope and never get frustated

Join a good coaching institute for CPT and give it the fresh start.

Just delete your past memories and start from zero again with full perfection and I am sure u will clear.

You should definitely continue with CA. Remember to stand again and fight back whenever you fall.

HI PARUL,

I PASSED CPT IN JUNE 2012 WITH 130 MARK...MATHS KA TO M BHI NAHI LIKHA.I DID NOT TOOK ANY COACHING.I DID MY 12TH IN 2006 AND RIGHT AFTER THAT I STARTED WORKING IN BPO AND AFTER 6 YEARS I THOUGHT TO GO FOR CA COZ I AM BROTHER WAS ALSO DOING CA AND WAS HAVING LOT OF REPUTATION ....I USED TO STUDY A LOT....I NEVER STUDIED ECONOMICS COZ I HAD COMPUTERS IN SCHOOL ...I FAILED TWICE IN MATHS IN 12TH....I PASSED 12TH WITH RECOMPARTMENT AND WITH 53% ......I NEVER DID LAW COZ I NEVER DID GRADUATION....EVERY THING LOOKED LIKE HELL TO ME ..BUT MY WILL POWER WAS VERY STRONG....I DECIDED TO DO IT THEN I DECIDED TO DO IT...NO MATTER HOW TOUGH IT WAS GETTING FOR ME...I USED TRY UNDERSTANDING EVERY CONCEPT BY MYSELF AND NOT LEAVE IT UNTIL I UNDERSTAND IT....+ I GOT SOME SUPPORT IN ACCOUNT FROM MY BROTHER AND ONLY IN ACCOUNT.....SO ALL CREDIT GOES TO MY HARDWORK AND WILL POWER...

NOW I KNOW IF I DEDICATE MYSELF TO ANYTHING THERE IS LEAST POSSIBLITY THAT I WON'T ACHIEVE IT...BE IT CPT OR IPCC OR FINALS FOR THAT MATTER..

ACHIEVEMENTS GIVE YOU CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF.

AT LAST MY VERY IMPORTANT TIP...DON'T GO FOR COACHING ..DON'T GO FOR EXTRA STUDY MATERIAL....

READ BOOKS ONCE GIVEN BY CA INSTITUTE AND THEN JUST GO THORUGH MODEL TEST PAPER....EVERTHIGN YOU GET IN CPT PAPER IS ONLY FROM MODEL TEST PAPER...I MA NOT TALKING ABT SCANNERS.....JUST AND JUST BOTH MODEL TEST PAPER 1 AND 2...

AND I GIVE YOU CONFIDENCE IF YOU WILL DO THEM TWICE THOROUGHLY...YOU WILL PASS....

I ALWAYS WANTED TO SHARE THIS ALL TO A CPT STUDENT AFTER I GAVE MY EXAM AND GOT RESULT COZ I DID NOT HAVE ANYBODY TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO OR NOT....

BUT PARUL DON'T WORRY I WILL KEEP YOU TELLIGN THINGS BY MY EXPERIENCE.

MY NOW GOING FOR IPCC GROUP 1...I THINK FOR THIS LEVEL COACHIGN IS REQUIRED TO HAVE CONCEPT CLARIFICATION,..SPECIALLY ON TAXATION AND ACCOUNTS.

WISH ME LUCK AND TRUST ME PARUL IF YOU STUDY MTP 1 AND 2 ...YOU WULL PASS..AND FORGET ABT MATHS...DON'T ATTEMPT IT OR STUDY IT....JUST FOCUS ON THREE SUBJECTS.....

MATHS IS NEITHER OF ANY USE IN FUTURE.

Hi Praful i have also attempted twice for CPT, but could not clear it I tried hard to get through but was unsuccessful.

I decided to quit and move forward with better option. Then I came to know about CFP (Certified Financial Planner), which has more better career opportunity then CA.

Though CA’s are efficient tax planners, astute auditors and have keen knowledge of accounting concepts but a CFP can avail with more services including tax planning as well. A CFP can solve all finance problems and can assist with relevant solutions .

So I made my decision to be a CFP and now I am working with multinational organization with high designation. So you should also decide to continue with CPT or to choose some better option.

you must try it for one more time as it is not a wrong thing .you will succeed this time.maths is of no use in the next level of ca course.therefore you must work hard and revise the syllabus thoroughly and you must not lose your hope about it

See you can clear CA-CPT but I think you need to change your strategy. Before you choose any course you need to figure out the “WHY”Why do you want to be a CA? You need to find out the reasons and write them down and keep them with you. It will help you a lot in future.If your reasons are strong any you really want to be a CA then here are some tips

Make a study planand stick to it.

Join some study groups you can find it on study pal. Study groups are very useful you meet students and they share ideas and their experience which will help you a lot.

Practice as much as you can. If you are just studying then it’s impossible to remember everything.You need to practice each topic and bcoz practice help you to remember 90%.

Find out your weak points and practice then more

Communicate withthose students who already cleared these exams

You can’t studyall day so go for morning walk and join a gym or any outdoor game.

Don't take the pressure.

Take mock test
