Failing again n again n again

hello friends, i want to confess one thing is that i am a very old student ca final who is giving ca final exams from 4 years now.. during this i have cleared my first group somehow on 200 marks but now i am left with my group 2 ca final exams from which i am failing continuously from past 4 years.

i just dont know what to do. i don't want to leave ca at this stage since i am left with four exams but then i think these four exams have taken my 4 years. i am following books of all the renowned teachers but still i am not able to score good. i will appear for the attempt in nov 2015.

i am tired of giving excuses and answers to my parents and relatives. all of my friends and juniors have cleared ca.

please suggest me friends what to do. shall i quit or suggest me good study material and study schedule. thanks in advance.

Totally understand your current situation Nikita... I can recommend following books according to my view

For Costing : Do practice manual published by Institute

For ISCA : Try Dinesh Madan

For DT : Vinod Gupta

For IDT : Bangar

I would suggest you to read both the case laws book and amendments book published by ICAI for DT and IDT. Along with that solve each and every question in the PM for costing DT and IDT.
As for ISCA you should read the institutes module thoroughly and daily and should have read each and every word of module of ISCA at least 3 times before exams. try to understand the points first and then after in 2nd or 3rd reading try to remember the headings while writing the headings and explaination without looking.

For DT and IDT you must complete Practice manuals by ICAI as most of the questions are from there. try not to mug up the manual and first read all the answers of PM and the reason why the answer was solved that way. In the second reading you see if you can solve it on your own. But don't waste time in DT IDT on solving it with actual paper and pen. Solve them in your mind and thats enough. But for costing and ISCA solve them like you would in exam.

For costing padhuka or latest practice manual, For isca devang dalal or Manish valecha or jignesh chadda (all three are module language with mnemonic codes, follow anyone) For dt vinod gupta or manohoran (supplementary and case law book also) For idt bangar And in all four subjects 1) complete syllabus (I will suggest don't leave any topic) 2) suggested answers, mock test papers and RTP must atleast past 3 attempts. These two things will give you too much confidence to pass with good marks.

Thnk u guys.. I have attempt in nov 2015 now.. as I dint fill form for may 2015 due to domestic reasons.. shall i give myself time of 1 year to mentally come out this failure trauma and appear in may 2016. Or shud i give it a go in nov 2015. My condition is this that I dnt want ti c books near me around me at all.. I need a break

Dear Nikitha, Just take a break. Relax . I feel for November 15, u have 6 more months. So don't panic. 2 months just enjoy. And I suggest you attend classes for DT & IDT now so that you feel a bit more relaxed. Don't follow any authors book other than DT or IDT. Because for AMA and ISCA our institute material is the best. Trust yourself. You can achieve. Succes can be delayed, but never be denied. Best wishes

Miss Nikita do not loose hopes bcoz u have already cleared your 1st group... now only 4 subjects are there to tackle... try to motivate urself by learning those concepts which u r weak and then see the papers of past years ull definitely be happy to know that u can now clear those sums which were earlier alien for u... practice makes the man perfect.(here man also includes women)... I was also very weak in cost but after I failed I tried each and every type of sum which i were used to stuck at and then I got a very good amount of confidence as now I easily know how to solve a particular type of question... as regards reference books, I personally experienced that p c tulsian sir's book is very much helpful for AMA if u wanna do self study, for ISCA I found Manis Valecha sir's book quite good as it contains good memory techniques (mnemonics) nd for DT I found T N Manoharan sir's book very much self explanatory in nature.. as regards IDT ya agreed Banger is good helping hand in that particular subject... all these are reference books so do not for get ICAI study material nd Practice Manuals... particularly in subject like ISCA U MUST GO THROUGH STUDY MATERIAL at least 3-4 times before exam coz in exams they are many times asking question by copy pasting the study material lines which u will find very confusing if u haven't read study material... PMs are pre requisite for a good practice and being a master in the topic coz it shows the practical implication of the subject matter... in subjects like DT IDT and AMA I have observed that ull find approx 30-35 marks directly from PM so never leave PM whenever you complete a particular topic from reference book nd Study material go through PM for that topic them start another... in exam time go through RTP and past 2-3 attempt (not years) question papers... this much will definitely lead you to pass that you with a handsome score... my best wishes are with you mam... so NEVER GIVE UP AND GO AHEAD... have confidence 1st of all And before sleeping at night and after awaking in morning Just chant in mind gayatri mantra And pray that God give me strenght to std And follow cost std mat and compilation of last papers on institute site And for isca practise manual Dt idt practise manual case law and Ammendments And above all practise by writing writing And std in 2hours slot See u will pass surely Best of luck
