Hello everyone.Can anyone tell me whether fabrication of steel is being covered under service tax or vat.

if work is done on works contract basis then service tax / vat both applicable,
if work is done incidental for any party, then service tax only applicable.
if work is done with self materials without getting any raw materials from party then only vat applicable.
