Export of service - remittance received in INR

188 views 1 replies

I am providing Software consultancy Service to a UK Company and receiving the amount in GBP(pound) which is covered under export of service and service tax is not applicable. But due to recent GBP conversion rate the UK company want to send money to me in INR inorder to minimize my loss due to conversion.

My question is if I receive the invoiced amount in INR, am I liable to pay Service Tax. Thanks everybody in advance for your expert advice on this matter. Thanks.
