Eway bill for inter state supply of goods

I one gst registered person in Maharashtra selling goods to another gst registred person registered in gujrat and the value of goods is say 1000 to 49000 then is it mandatory to prepare eway bill?

quation is whether eway bill mandatory for inter state supply of goods irrespective of distance and amount?
