Error during validation of itr

while uploading the itr of a professional whose gross total income is less than taxable slab, who has also short term capital gain, the validation of itr shows error.. income u/s 44AD/ 44ADA/ 44AE is greater than "zero" then filling of particulars for "no account case" S.NO.(6) is mandatory..... what to do here..?

Yes, when you have declared income u/s. 44ADA, you are required to fill some details in Schedule BS in column 6. (specifically for No Account Case)

If you have filled the mandatory details, and if there is no red empty bracket in any field, then ignore the massage and go for validation.

Sir i am filling itr 3 in this case.. but its showing the same message.. should i switch to itr 4.. but in that case STCG will not get declared..

You have to file ITR 3 only, as both CG & PGBP incomes are to be declared simultaneously. But in no account case filling of some details mandatory.

If you have filled the details in column 6 of the schedule BS, and getting the error, file complaint under Grievances.

I had the same problem and it got resolved after following these steps

(i) Close all Applications. Clear temporary cookies. Type Windows key +R --> Type %temp% -->Select All and Delete. Some files would still remain but that is fine. Most of them should be deleted

(ii) Open browser other than Chrome. I used Edge. Select settings and delete cookies and all history

(iii) Now open ITR portal in Edge and login

(iv) Resume Filing. Proceed to verification. You will get same error. Click on Hyperlink. It will lead to a section. In that there is an option nature of exempt income. Add one and type Not Applicable in descripttion. Amount as 0. Save and Confirm

(v) Open BS Section --> In No accounts case, change Cash in Hand by some units. I had earlier put in 8500, I then changed to Rs. 8505. Save and Confirm

(vi) Go to Schedule General --> Open Audit Information Section. You would have selected No for all options. Now for all options one by one (I did for first one and it worked but you can try all just to be sure) , click Yes and Then No again. After this. Click Confirm

(vii) Proceed to Validation and then verification. It should work now.

Actually when i selected NO in the Question " whether assesee is declaring income only u/s 44AE/44B/44BB/44AD/44ADA/44BBA ?" .. return gets verified..

Earlier i had selected yes for it..

Under Part A P&L item no 61. COMPUTATION OF PRESUMPTIVE BUSINESS INCOME UNDER SECTION 44AD

enter values for your business for cash and cheque receipts,

. profit should be above 8% of the entereed values.

I have a solution to your problem:

If you are seeing the following error while uploading this return on income tax website even when you are not filling return under presumptive scheme u/s 44AD

": ERROR : Income details for the selected business code u/s 44AD should be entered . SOLUTION :Kindly declare income u/s 44AD when nature of business u/s 44AD is selected ."

Then , follow these steps :-

1) ITR-3 > SCHEDULES > Part A - Profit and Loss

2) Scroll down and go to Presumptive Income tab

3) Click on "Edit"

4) Tick the check box and then click on the delete button

5) Click on the "save" Button.

6) Hurray !!! Your error is resolved.

7) REASON OF THE ERROR :- this error usually occurs when the assesee has filled his last return u/s 44AD and we have prefilled our ITR this time so the details of last ITR gets autofilled ....and this error shows up when we are not filling ITR u/s 44AD this time.
