I have not filed E.R. 5 for one year as i did not have the information of principle inputs. Department has raised a query for the same. Can i file the return now ? The electronic filing portal does not allow me to file the return for past period.

You can not file the ER-5 for the period of 2012-13.
But then what is the remedy for it ? Dept has pointed this in the audit report. What should be the next action ? Can i file it manually ?
