E-mail from mahavat joint commissioner to submit pt info

Recently I got e-mail from Joint Commissioner of Sales tax (Maharashtra VAT department) to Submit Professional Tax Information form (PT form)

Instructions given are:

Download ‘PT Information Form’ from the web-site www.mahavat.gov.in >> Downloads >> Forms >> Electronic Forms >> e-Annexures >> PT Information Form.

Fill up the PT information form and upload the same on the web-site www.mahavat.gov.in >> e-services >> PT-Info Upload.

 

I just wanted to know is this really compulsory? As per e-mail it seems compulsory.

 

I have another question. Our company is very small with no employees. Just 2 directors. Company and both the directors have PTEC number and professional tax is also paid on time.

Does company still need to have PTRC? Again there are no employees just 2 directors.
