I am trying to e-file my tax return for AY 17-18. I want to avail benefit for house loan under section 24. But this section is not visible while filling the online form. Is there a different way to do it?

Are you filing ITR 1, online?
If yes, Fill the net figure of income from House property, after reducing the interest amount.
If loss, fill (minus) figure........ as -112345

Yes, thanks. I am filling ITR1 online. It is a self occupied property. So, is the 2L benefit (minus) on interest repayment is to be mentioned against 'Income from House property' ? Do I need to upload interest certificates, or statement anywhere?
