My ca final exam is due in may 16 and I want to start self study for direct tax as I m not be able to take dt ttn. I just wanted to know that which book should I follow for SELF STUDY??

For self study i wil say go for T.N.Manoharan book it is best.
im also reffering it with its summary book.
vinod gupta modules wil help only when if u have taken ttn from him and it is too vast and not easy to digest in exam time...
