You should budget around $4,500 for CPA.  According to me CPA is better than MBA from a B grade Business School in India. This is a great investment for future.  After completion of CPA the salary in India is around Rs.5 lakhs - Rs.15 lakhs depending on the experience.  In the USA it is $45,000 - $75,000 depending on the experience.  Indians are very successful in accounting field in the USA.
