Can input GST credit be taken on purchase of lights and other electrical items for shop. Shop is a pvt ltd company

also, can GST credit be taken for any assetts bought such computers, EPBX system etc.

It is not a restricted item as per Sec 17 of the CSGT act. so, you can claim the input.

THE BILL OF ELECTRICAL ITEMS PURCHASED MUST SHOW THE GSTIN NO. OF YOUR COMPANY

AND ITC ON ASSETS CAN BE AVAILED EITHER AS ITC OR DEPRECIATION

Yes, ITC can be availed. If you have put up Diwali light then such ITC claim could be reversed by your proper officer on the ground that how putting up the diwali light in your shop is for furtherance of your business? Burden of proving is on you as per section 155.

Sir,

Which one is the benefit to us in the following conditions ..

1) GST Input credit taken on Asset Purchase

2) GST Input Credit not taken on Asset Purchase, But Depreciation claimed on GST Tax Also

We have confusion on GST Input Credit taken on Asset Purchase.

Kindly clarify me.
