Hi,

Please help me with my query. I have changed my job and want to transfer my PF account. My prevoius employer will be issuing a cheque to effect the transfer from my old epf account to the new epf account. In whose favour the cheque should be drawn? On contacting my new epf office they asked me to tell my old employer to issue the cheque in favour of the regional commissioner. But my name or account number is nowhere in this. Are they correct in saying so? How will the epf transfer take place? PLS HELP

My new epf account number is MH/116006/407
