Well, I guess they have stopped considering fresh ca's for investment banking.... Research is easy to get in... But CFA or MBA FInance will help you alot.... FRM is not of much use in India, atleast for the next 5 - 7 years.....

Are you serious guys - FRM for Investment Banking?

@ Kapil: FRM would NOT help you in any way in getting a job in IB. Infact do not even mention in your interviews that you considered FRM because wanted to enter IB.

The best bet is a MBA (Finance) from a top tier college, if you want to do that but if you want to start into a job straight after your CA and do not want to study full time further, then consider CFA. (needless to USA only).

Having said that a CFA would only increase your chances by a slight bit.

The initiative taken for the concern is very serious and need an attention of every one. This is the concern which exists in the society and needs to be eliminated from the society as soon as possible. I subscribe to Insider Score, and that is correct there has been scant insider buying. Insider Score's market wide buying indicator tracks very closely my sentiment indicators.

Big 4 Transaction Advisory is a good way of trying to get into PE/IB, as you get to do a lot of interaction with PE clients in that.

But breaking into Big4 Transaction Advisory can be hard too. They normally require good audit exposure during articleship, preferably Big 4 articles only (at fresher level).

Hi,

If you are planning to do CFA then instead of choosing CFA (ICFAI) better to go with CFA (US). CFA (US) is more practial then indian CFA. However, CFA(US) is too costly.
