After going through all the incomes for FY 2016-17, I found out I have to pay Inocme tax to the tune of Rs. 3450/-. How do I deposit this amount and how do I show it in my ITR.

Hi,
Please go to efilingincometaxindia portal / select e pay tax option in services list / click on confirm / Select ITNS 280 / Give PAN, Select Assesment year 2017-18, Fill add&contact details, Select type of payment - Self assessment tax. go forward..
Contact your tax preparer with challan copy to show it in your ITR or u can do online ITR.

you can pay online but after 31.03.2017 as system will not accept F.Y. 16-17 SELF ASSESSMENT CHALLAN
so wait till 31.03.2017
after that you can pay

Thanks for the guidance, further I want to know - after depositing the tax liablity, when I prepare my Form 16 for ITR, where do I show that I have deposited the tax or how will the Income Tax dept know that I have deposited the proper tax.
