Product addition in excise registration certificate
Recently my client is manufacturing Fertilizers Name Single super Phosphate in powder form & Granulated form (SSP & GSSP). Now He wants to Manufacture another fertilizer called Zincated single super phosphate & Boronated Single Super Phosphate whether he needs to apply for product addition in Excise Registration or Not? Is there any Penalty for non application of Product Addition in Excise Registration? Kingly Guide me as early as possible. Thanking You..

Today excise registration is for all manufactured products.
No need to add products.
Central excise registration application requires you to mention only major excisable finished goods. Therefore, its not mandatory amend certificate.
But, experience shows that, it is always better to intimate the department vide simple letter about the change is the activity of manufacturing.
