How to get refund of the tds deducted for housewife

Hi,

My mother is a housewife and she has some FD's of amount 5 lacks in her own saving account. Recently she got charged of TDS from bank on the interest earned. She is not working and no source of income. Can she apply for tax return and get the deducted amount returned to her? if yes, apart from pan card what all she has to show.?

Also, note that, she has another joint account with her husband who is a main applicant there? and he is also not earning person now. does she has to show this account details also while filing return.
