Claiming of tds deduction of old years

I WANT TO ASK THAT ONE OF MY PARTY IS FILING INCOME TAX RETURN FOR FIRST TIME AND HAS DEDUCTION IN THE OLD YEARS ALSO SO CAN I CLAIM TDS DEDUCTION OF OLD YEARS AS PER FORM 26AS IT HAS TDS FROM AY 09/10 IN EVERY YEAR SO CAN I CLAIM THE DEDUCTION FOR ALL THE YEAR.

AS I WAS FILING ITR FOR AY 13-14 SO PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS MATTER

FRIENDS PLEASE REPLY SOON AS I HAVE TO FILE INCOME TAX RETURN BY TOMORROW

I think in itr for ay 13-14 there is no option to claim tds of earlier years If you file itr for 14 -15, you can show it in tds details however I think it will be not for too old tds

We are ok if we file it in ay 14 - 15 but can we show tds of all old years or what it is from ay 9-10 onwards

for claiming tds of prior year, your income too should have income of prior year logicaly. secondly you can file itr of two years at any point of time. so accordingly you cannot claim it. however you have an option to apply to commissioner and if he order, a scrutiny assessment will be made and you will be refunded your tax if the income of your previous year is found to be below threshold limt. However if tds is marginal then leave the issue as assessment itself will be full of hassles

Hi,

Since first time filing return, no credit of past years tds deducted.

But currently file return for AY 13-14 and 14-15. for claiming credit for these two years.

In case you recieve any notice of past years then only you will be able to take credit of such deductions.

Relavent Income for which Tds is claimed has to be shown in the return for claiming previous year TDS

In the ITR(Java Version) available on Incometax site, there is an option of carry forward of previous years TDS which can be claimed in this year. Cant that be used to claim all back years TDS?
