Hi,

I am a newbie onto CA Club and don't know this category is perfect to ask this question or not. So, if I am wrong please sorry for that.

I want to know, is sparshindia.com authorized by income tax department of India?

Actually my old PAN card was misplaced and I didn’t know I can get its reprinted copy. So, I applied for a new PAN card and have received with new PAN number. Now, I want to cancel one PAN card as keeping two PAN cards is not legal.

But, when I went to the https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ they are referring to the https://www.utitsl.co.in/ and https://www.tin-nsdl.com/ for PAN services. But, after surfing around 1-1 hours on both website I didn't found any form or link to apply cancelation of additional PAN card.

Then I went on Google to search online PAN cancelation link and found https://incometax.sparshindia.com/pan/newPAN.asp to surrender additional PAN.

But, it is not mentioned anywhere on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in using this link is safe and authorized by income tax department of India.

So, I request you experts to guide me on this. Is it safe using https://incometax.sparshindia.com/pan/newPAN.asp? Can I use it to surrender my additional PAN?

dont worry.... you are at the right place and your query will also be answered....... the site that you are talking about is completely authentic..... you can apply for surrender of pan there itself or submit form at nearest tin-fc. if you opt for second option then first download "change/correction in pan data form" from tin nsdl website. affix photo and cross sign left side photograph. at top of the form you are reqd to mention PAN no. that you wish to retain and at point no. 11 you have to mention pan no. that you wish to surrender. sign the form (use black pen only) and submit to nearest tin-fc centre..... i will suggest that you retain new pan and surrender your old pan that was misplaced.
