Rent claims
hi,
my client who is an assessee is paying 50% of rent which is shared by his brother and him which totals to 20000 pm
& rental agreement is in his brothers name can he claim this in itr

Yes he claim it in Return but he needs to furnish PAN of house owner if rent paid by him exceeds RS 100000/-
